Cross-Eyed 3D Photos Slide Show This is perhaps one of the most exciting possibility that digital photography brings to our lives. You need to cross your eyes until the left and right images overlap in the center. If you can succeed, the overlap should be perceived in 3D. This is also known as Stereoscopy and been around for more than a hundred years. Other than few exceptions, no special cameras were used for making majority of my 3D photos. I use Stereo Photo Maker to align and view the images in full screen with panning and zooming. I recommend you to try this method ASAP, it may be difficult and painful to your eyes at first, but it can become very rewarding experience. At the beginning, try scenes with apparent objects and don’t be so close to images. Looking from short distance or enlarged views, will cause your eye muscles ache more. So, I wish you best of luck and I hope you have fun. Nowadays, these stereo-view pairs can be seen on 3D TVs as well if they are converted to *.MPO format using Stereo Photo Maker and feed to a 3DTV such as LG 55LW5700 via it’s USB port using perhaps a flash disk or USB Hard Disk Drive.
Night Photos Slide Show Most of the Night photos were captured with exposures from 4 second to 30 seconds. I like SONY cameras with Super HAD CCD and 14Bit Analog to Digital Converter for great night photo captures. For a successful capture, steady shot features needs to be disabled. Because I noticed that it is causing motion of the lens during long exposures. I also use very small tripod to aim and keep the camera motionless during the capture
Infrared Photos Slide Show IR photos were captured using SONY DSC- V1, H9 and H50 at Night Shot Mode along with 800nm and 900nm low pass filters. As you may noticed, Infrared photography very interestingly cuts trough the haze and smoke. For this reason thermal cameras with far Infrared capabilities are used by fire fighters. Usually vegetation, rocks, sky and water bodies can create very interesting effects. Infrared filters also be combined by other filters such as circular polarizer for even more interesting effects. I hope more IR capable cameras will be made in the future.
